In the immediate vicinity of the apartments, near Tkon, there is also a monastery dedicated to Saint Benedict—a unique monastery of its kind in this part of Europe. The monastery dates back to the 11 century and has suffered various destructions and damages throughout history. It was rebuilt in the Gothic style during the 14 century. Today, it is a true oasis of peace and spirituality. It is situated on a hilltop offering a breathtaking view of the islands and the mainland, stretching from Biograd all the way to Ravni Kotari, Lake Vransko, Velebit, and Dinara. Part of the monastery and its garden, including the walkway around it, are open to the public, and you can often hear enthusiastic visitors rightly calling it “paradise on earth.” The area is ideal for summer vacations, both for families with young children and for those seeking to enjoy the fresh air, the sea, peace, and the greenery that the island of Pašman abounds in. Due to the gentle landscape and the island’s configuration, cycling is a popular recreational activity, while the beach offers opportunities for beach volleyball and plenty of fun for your little ones. If you are a parent of a young child, you will enjoy a stress-free vacation without worrying too much about your child’s safety, as the beach is sandy with shallow waters perfect for playing, located close to the apartments, and has a shaded area so you can stay on the beach all day, regardless of your skin’s sensitivity.
